lord shiva temple tunganath at the height of
3680 mtrs, & kartik swami peak at the height
of 2500 mtrs.Being at 2350 mtrs above the
sea level it is 193km ahead from
Rishikesh. 1925 a three hall post office had
been build by britishers which is now
undertaken by PWD. For tourist comfort

in Rudraprayag, where bookings can be
done is surrounded by thick forest
from all corners Kedar, Sumeru, Chowkhamba
and other Himalayan range are all the
year round open for viewing. Where
tourist keep coming for picnic, parties and
even newly married couple for
honeymoon all around the year. To reach over
here every morning at 6:30 am from
Rudraprayag Bolero jeeps and other
transportation services are available.
Devariyatal :
 Devariyatal This lake is nearly at 8000 ft
above the sea level which is almost 366 mtrs
long and 230mtrs widea and is of
extreme depth. The tourist will be enchanted
by the beauty of the mountains and wild life
which surrounds the lap of the lake. The
magestic reflection of Kedar, Sumeru and
other mountains leave a stunning moment for
the tourist to capture in the memories. The
lake is 13 kms ahead from maya deep tourist
house and it is reached by motorway and
further followed by a 3 km trek from Sarie
gram. The trek leads to top of the mountain
peak where one of the world's most majestic
lake is situated.
Chandrashila :
 Chandrashila The sky high Chandrashila peak
is 1.5 kms walking distance from Tungnath
temple. The peak isdensly planted with
diffrent variety of ayurvedic herbs and is
also having a research centerof HNB Garhwal
University.

of 219 kms. The nearest Railhead is
Rishikesh 193 Kms.
